Mike & Katie's Tour de France - Day 9 (8/16/22)

Bon jour! Day 9 of our Tour de France was all about castles and wine along the Loire River. Be began by meeting our guide locally at Amboise and traveling to the Château de Chenonceau. Afterwards it was back to Amboise to sample some delicious wine and cheese at Caves Ambacia.

After lunch, it was back on the road to visit the impressive Château de Chambord. Both castles today had a connection to French Royalty (kings Francis I, Francis III, Louis XIV etc.) and served as symbols of French monarchial wealth and power.
